পহেলা সেলফি

বিএনএ, ডেস্ক :  সেলফি তোলা ছাড়া আজকের জীবন কল্পনা করা যায় না। এটি কিন্তু সাম্প্রতিক উদ্ভাবন নয়।  প্রথম সেলফিটি অনেক আগে তোলা হয়েছিল। বিশ্বাস করুন বা না করুন। ১৮০০  দশকের কথা বলছি।  ১৮৩৭  সালে রবার্ট কর্নেলিয়াস সম্ভবত প্রথম সেলফি তুলেছিলেন। এটি কোনও স্মার্টফোন দ্বারা নেওয়া হয়নি বা কোনও সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া ওয়েবসাইটে পোস্ট করা হয়নি।

(Today’s life can hardly be imagined without people snapping selfies all the time. You might think it is a rather recent invention, but the first selfie was taken a long time ago, we are talking about the 1800s, believe it or not. This photo dates back to 1837 when Robert Cornelius probably took the first selfie ever. And no, it was not taken by a smartphone nor posted on any social media websites.)
