IWEC Award 2021 পেলেন চিটাগাং উইম্যান চেম্বার অব কমার্স এন্ড ইন্ডাষ্ট্রি এর ৩ জন সফল নারী উদ্যোক্তা। চিটাগাং উইম্যান চেম্বার অব কমার্স এন্ড ইন্ডাষ্ট্রি প্রাক্তন পরিচালক ও সদস্য নাসরিন সরওয়ার মেঘলা, সদস্য হাসিনা মহিউদ্দিন চৌধুরী ও কানিজ আলমাস খান সম্প্রতি IWEC কর্তৃক এই এ্যাওয়ার্ডের জন্য মনোনীত হন।
International Women’s Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Award, Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Commerce of Manhattan Ges The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI/FLO) এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে US Department of State সহযোগিতায় ২০০৬ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত এবং ২০০৭ সালে বার্সেলোনায় প্রথম IWEC কনফারেন্স অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এর পর থেকে ধারাবাহিকভাবে নিয়ইয়র্ক, নয়া দিল্লী, আফ্রিকা সহ পৃথিবীর বিভিন্ন দেশে এই এ্যাওয়ার্ড প্রদান অনুষ্ঠান অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। এবছর বিশ্বব্যাপী করোনা মহামারীর কারনে বাহরাইনে ভার্চুয়াল অনুষ্ঠানের মাধ্যমে ৯ নভেম্বর ২০২১ তারিখে 14th IWEC Award 2021 প্রদান করা হয়। IWEC ফাউন্ডেশান প্রতিষ্ঠার পর থেকে চিটাগাং উইম্যান চেম্বার অব কমার্স এন্ড ইন্ডাষ্ট্রি বাংলাদেশ চ্যাপ্টারে পার্টনার হিসেবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। শুরু থেকে সারা বিশ্বের নারী উদ্যোক্তাদেরকে চ্যালেঞ্জিং কাজের স্বীকৃতি স্বরূপ এই এ্যাওয়ার্ড প্রদান করে আসছে।

01) Hasina Mohluddin Chowdhury from Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry is one of the awardees of 2021 IWEC Award. She is the Chairwoman of Royal Food Products & Green Harvest Agro. Hasina is the founder of the renowned Green Harvest Agro and Royal Food Products which she founded in 2009. Those company focus on creating indigenous quality sweets, confectionary and baked goods, working from their own food manufacturing 2 plants in Bangladesh. They provide catering, fast food and packaged products. Hasina also established an Agro farm which produces a variety of dairy products as well, offering organic agro products. The company strives to stay ahead of the competition and continually works on research and development to bring innovation and new products into the region. The company is doing business currently with India & Bhutan and Hasina would like to expand it to UAE, Saudi Arabia & the UK where her products have communities that want these types of foods.
02) Kaniz Almas Khan from Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry is one of the awardees of 2021 IWEC Arard. She is the Founder & Managing Director of Persona Hair & Beauty Limited. (www.persona.com.bd). Kaniz is regarded as a leading beauty expert and a successful business woman in Bangladesh. She founded her company in 1998 and now has 01 beauty outlet and 06 men’s outlets with over 1.7 million customers. Kaniz is also the Founder-President of Beauty Service Owners Association of Bangladesh and also the Brand Ambassador for Sunsilk Shampoo, Jui Hair oil and Square Toiletries. For this work, Kaniz received countrywide recognition as an expert in hair care and inspired many small entrepreneurs to get involved in this business. At the same time, she started editing the country’s first lifestyle and fashion beauty magazine ‘Canvas’. The company imports materials from China, Japan & Korea. Kaniz wishes to develop joint ventures in the UK and Dubai to establish spas and beautification centers among the Asian communities there.
03) Nasrin Sarwar Meghla from Chittagong Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry is one of the awardees of 2021 IWEC Award. She is the Director of Prantik Marine Services LTD. (www.prantik.net). Nasrin started her business in 1998 with her husband. The company is a service-oriented company, owning small ships and has a shipping agency, a crewing agency, and is an enlisted ship repair company of Chittagong Port Authority, Chittagong Dry Dock, BSC, and Bangladesh Navy. Nasrin changed her fate, being a woman in a very under-represented industry where a patriarchal society prevails. She attributes her confidence, competence, skills and passion as the strengths she possesses to prevail and become a successful woman entrepreneur. Commitment, superiority, safety and reliability stand at the forefront of her operations as well. The company is doing business currently with Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, India & Denmark.
